Brian and Lori Burke - Owners
Brian and Lori Burke have been residents of Novi for 15 years. They have and still are raising their children here and love the small town feel of Novi. While visiting area restaurants they often shared a bottle of wine and an appetizer or two. This led to the small plates menu at the Grapevine. (Yes you are supposed to share!) They are excited to bring their passion for wine and their love of entertaining to Main Street. Brian and Lori have been enjoying wine for several years but it wasn't until their 2004 trip to Napa and Sonoma that their interest was piqued and the ball started rolling. The expansive wine list contains over 250 different labels and will appeal to everyone's palate and budget. As Brian so often says "I never met a bad grape!"
 Lee A. Hershey-Wine Consultant
Lee's interest in wine goes back to the 1960's when he joined a number of wine and food clubs and began accumulating wines for a cellar. He read everything he could find on the subject of wine and became known as a local Detroit area expert before wine was fashionable. During this time Lee was the local wine educator for Beaulieu Vineyards in California doing 6 to 8 wine seminars per month. In 1977 Lee managed the first wine shop to open in the Detroit Renaissance Center. He later designed and managed wine shops in Grosse Pointe, Plymouth and Milford while working for different wine wholesalers in the area. For the last 20 years Lee has also taught various wine courses for the Continuing Education department of Schoolcraft College in Livonia. His vast knowledge and love of wine recently led him to The Bay Harbor Yacht Club as a summer sommelier. Lee is eager to share his knowledge with everyone who comes into The Grapevine and we are lucky to have Lee (as well as his distinctive moustache) as our Wine Consultant.
